Research

Research at IFT-Nord has three main objectives:

  1. Scientific evaluation of prevention measures
  2. Descriptive and analytical epidemiology of risk factors for unhealthy behaviors
  3. Monitoring of pilot projects

Evaluation is the description, analysis, and appraisal of projects and processes, especially in the educational and health sector. We have expertise the evaluation of interventions aiming at health promotion and harm reduction.

Epidemiology is the study and analysis of the patterns, causes, and effects of health and disease conditions in defined populations. It is the cornerstone of public health, and shapes policy decisions and evidence-based practice by identifying risk factors for disease and targets for preventive healthcare. We have a special interest in factors related to adolescent risk behaviors.

We also conduct external evaluations of pilot projects of other organizations.
